Throwin' Some Ds

Over the past couple of years I have been slowly getting into the sport of disc golfing. This sport is relatively easy, allows me to get exercise, and to get together and compete with my friends. There are quite a few nice courses near my home in Ypsilanti which allows me to not get too comfortable playing any one single course.

I have been out a few times this spring so far. The past two weeks I've played the both the original and Monster courses over at Hudson Mills Metropark out in Dexter and tonight I ended up hitting up the course over at the Rolling Hills Metropark in Ypsilanti Township.

I am most comfortable with Innova discs. This is probably due to the fact that my first disc was an Innova Wraith, which is still one of my favorite discs to date. I currently carry 4 different discs while playing, but mainly use my driver which is a Star Wraith and my putter which is a Polecat. I purchased my driver at the beginning of last spring and still manage to have it with me so I must be improving somewhat.

Tonight was definitely an off night. I shot +8. I was having a rough time with my drives on the beginning holes and only ended up having one birdie for the round. At least I should be able to beat that score next time I head out to Rolling Hills.

Anyway, throughout the summer I hope to get out and try all of the courses in the southeast part Michigan and possibly participate in a tournament or two. I am always up for new competition so contact me if you wanna meet up!
